What is master cyliner?
master cylinder is a control device that converts non-hydraulic pressure (commonly from a driver's foot) into hydraulic pressure. This device controls slave cylinders located at the other end of the hydraulic system.
How do you know if your clutch master cylinder is bad?
When a master clutch cylinder goes bad, the clutch pedal will fall to the floor when pressed and will not rise again. When this happens, the driver will be unable to shift the car into any gear. The vehicle will not be drivable until the master clutch cylinder is replaced.
